What it's for

Internal Allocations in the sidebar, titled Gift Box & Prepaid Funds Allocations on the page, is where admins manage gift quantity and spending limits. An allocation can apply to a group, sub-organization, or individual user, and is tracked over an annual period.

The page includes three managers:

Gift box allocations

Gift box allocations are quantity caps for campaign gifts. You can assign a number of gifts to a group or person, such as 25 gifts for the year. Giftium tracks how many have been used and how many remain. Once the cap is reached, additional sending is blocked.

Campaign shipping allowances

Campaign shipping allowances are per-campaign shipping budgets for groups or users. They help keep shipping costs contained even when there are still gift credits available.

Prepaid balance and fund allocations

The organization's prepaid balance card shows the total balance, the unallocated remainder, and the low-funds warning threshold. From this card, admins can allocate dollar caps to groups or team members. For example, you might allocate $5,000 to the West Region and $500 to one account manager. See Prepaid funds for how balances work at checkout.

Reading an allocation

Every allocation shows its limit type, either dollars or quantity, the limit amount, how much has been used, and the period end date. Remaining means the limit minus what has been used.

Rules and limits

  • Only admins manage allocations. Standard users see their own limits on the dashboard.
  • Dollar caps and quantity caps are separate. A user can have both.
  • Allocations are annual. Usage counts against the cap until the period ends.
