What it's for

Giftium organizations can be arranged in a hierarchy. A company can sit at the top, with regions, offices, teams, or other groups underneath. The Groups page is where admins build and manage that structure.

Each group, or sub-organization, can have its own users, budgets, allocations, and branding if the parent organization allows it. Gifting activity rolls up the hierarchy, so parent organizations can see activity for the groups beneath them.

The Groups page

The page shows your organization tree. Expand and collapse branches to navigate. For each group, you can:

  • Add a sub-organization: give it a name, a primary contact, and a contact email.
  • View its users: jump to the team list scoped to that group.
  • Manage its branding: control the group's logos, colors, fonts, and notecards.
  • Allocate funds and gift boxes: give the group budget or gift quantities to work with.

Each group also shows rollup numbers for funds and gifts held, allocated, used, and remaining.

Naming your levels

By default, the levels are called Organization, Region, Office, and Team. Use the Level Names editor on the Groups page to rename them to match your organization. For example, you might use Company → Region → Team. These names appear throughout the app wherever groups are mentioned.

Organizational Data

When your organization has child organizations, an Organizational Data page also appears in the sidebar. It is a read-only rollup of gift holdings and spend for your organization and everything beneath it.

Rules and limits

  • Only admins can create groups or edit level names.
  • The top-level organization cannot be renamed as a "level." Level names apply from the second tier down.
